Who we are
Padelino is made by Fuad Ljubunčić, an independent developer. In this policy, "we" means the developer. You can reach us at fuad.ljubuncic@icloud.com.
Data that stays on your devices
Matches, scores, players, team names and settings are stored only on your phone, and the match in progress on your Apple Watch. The Watch and phone exchange this data directly with each other using Apple's Watch Connectivity. It never passes through a server of ours, because there isn't one.
Your phone's own backups (iCloud or computer) include this data in the same way as for other apps.
Apple Health
With your permission, the Padelino Watch app uses Apple Health during a match:
- Reads heart rate, active and resting energy, steps, and your date of birth. Your date of birth is only used to estimate your maximum heart rate for heart rate zones.
- Writes each match as a workout, if "Save Matches as Workouts" is on in Settings.
A summary of each match's workout (average and maximum heart rate, calories, steps and a heart rate curve) is saved with the match on your phone so you can see it in the app.
Health data is never sent to us or to any third party, never included in usage statistics, and never used for advertising or data mining. It only leaves your device if you export your matches and choose to share the file yourself. You can change Padelino's Health access at any time in the Health app or in your phone's Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
Motion sensors
To count your hits, Padelino reads your Apple Watch's motion sensors during a match. This is processed on the Watch. Only the number of hits is kept; the motion readings themselves are not stored. You can turn hit tracking off in Settings.
Usage statistics
To learn which features are used and what to improve, Padelino sends usage events to Google Analytics for Firebase. For example: a match was started, a setting was changed, or a screen was opened. Events contain only option values (such as the scoring rules chosen), rounded ranges (such as "6-20 matches" or "60-90 minutes"), the app language, whether hit tracking is on, and whether the Watch app is installed.
Firebase also collects some information automatically: a random app instance identifier, device model, iOS version, app version, approximate country or region, and when the app was first opened and used.
Usage events never include player or team names, scores, anything you type, or Health data. Padelino does not use the advertising identifier and shows no ads. The events are grouped only by the random app instance identifier, never linked to your name, email or Apple ID, and a new identifier is created if you reinstall the app.
You can turn usage statistics off at any time in Padelino's Settings › Share Usage Data. This stops all collection, including Firebase's automatic events. Google keeps this data for the retention period set in Google Analytics, at most 14 months. Read more in Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information.
Bug reports and email
If you use Settings › Report a Bug or email us, we receive what you write plus the app version, device model and iOS version that the report adds for you. We use this only to answer you and fix problems, and we delete it when it is no longer needed.
Exports
Export as CSV and Export as JSON create a file on your phone with your matches. Where the file goes is up to you; we never receive it.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent any data, and we do not share it with anyone except Google, which processes the usage statistics described above.
Children
Padelino is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
